The following data is proved by the Windsor Police Services. Please see Windsor’s crime reports map for a detailed report of crime.

In the past month…

There were 590 reported crimes in Windsor!

That’s a lot of crime! The kicker is that this number is only the number of reported crimes in Windsor.

It is scary to think about how high this number would be if all crimes were reported.

482 out of these 590 reported crimes are property related incidences.

Property crimes are on the rise, and are the leading reported crime in the Windsor area.

Property related incidences are: theft, theft from a vehicle, property crime, breaking & entering.

As a home security company this is both good and bad news.

Bad news because a lot of homes and businesses are being targeted and are not properly protected.

Good news because deterring and lowering property crimes is as easy as installing security systems. Get yours here.

Property crime are happening during the day!

According to the data provided by the Windsor Police Services, the majority of the reported property crime happens during the day, specifically between 9am-5pm.

You’ll notice that time range is typically the time range that people are away at work.

The takeaway: Windsor criminals target homes during the day when most homeowners are gone.

What can you do?

Now that you have been made aware just how severe crime is getting in Windsor, your probably wondering what you can do to keep you, your family and home safe?

Here are two simple solutions:

1.) Install a Security System

Dogs, baseball bats, and deadbolt locks ARE NOT proper means of security.

The number one thing you can do to protect your home and valuables is by considering installing a security system.

When you install a security system you are essentially assigning someone to watch over you home 24/7. Security systems are now wireless which means they con no longer be disconnected by criminals. Learn more here.

If you truly want to keep yourself safe a security system is the way to go.

2.) Get to know your Neighbors!

Ever heard of a neighborhood watch program? They work!

Get to know your neighbors and watch over one another. A criminal will not target an area that is watched by many eyes.
